About Me
From book editing to public speaking to talking to you about your health, I believe too many important messages are lost because they are not fully understood. I channel this, along with my background in the arts and humanities to bring a unique approach to all my areas of service. In clinical care, speaking, and writing, my goal is always to truly understand who I am working with and provide tailored, individualized interventions.

Health & Injury Advising
I have been working with the human body in one way or another for over 15 years and am continually awed by its robustness, resilience, and adaptability. In addition to a doctoral level degree in physical therapy, I have taken substantial continuing education with specialized emphasis on persistent pain, lifestyle medicine, fitness-based rehabilitation, and prevention. Experienced working with adolescents through centenarians anywhere from hospitals to clinics to homes and fitness centers, I am able to help zoom out, connect the dots, and find a path forward through pain, injury, and health choices that works for you.

Editing & Writing Development
I was raised on the principles of analytical writing and the creative process. This training helps me take a critical eye to whether what is on your paper or slides matches what you're trying to say. I have worked with a diversity of professionals and product types including, but not limited to, fully published books, regular blog posts, and grant-funded educational content. I have served as the primary wordsmith for a 350-member organization and am recognized across disciplines for my ability to clarify messaging in written and spoken work. Even within my clinical passions of musculoskeletal care and health promotion, I have leveraged the power of words to improve outcomes with public-facing content, referral language, and patient education.

Speaking & Presenting
A performing artist at my roots, I bring a dynamic and engaging style to any presentation from college lectures to national conferences. I have been an invited speaker both locally and nationally on a variety of topics related to communication, pain, substance abuse, creativity, health, and wellness.

I hold a doctorate degree in physical therapy from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in modern dance from Columbia College Chicago, and an associate in health occupational sciences from the Swedish Institute in New York City. When I am not finding typos or helping people thrive, you can find me hiking in the woods, cooking up something new, or curling up with a good novel in front of the fire.
